
Build a strong foundation for your teaching career in one of our Education associate degree or certificate programs at Monroe Community College. Working with first-rate faculty who have spent many years leading PK-12 classrooms, you will take teacher preparation courses in your first semester and get classroom experience in our partner districts throughout Monroe County. Advising
Each student is assigned a faculty advisor who is trained in the transfer and concentration requirements of our 4-year transfer partners. Students also have additional support from our advising and student services.
Support for Teachers of Color
MCC offers a wide variety of inclusive Student Clubs and Organizations, as well as the PRISM Multicultural Center.
Partnerships
MCC’s field placement coordinator partners with all Monroe County school districts, including public, private, and charter schools, as well as several districts in surrounding counties, to place our students in field-based experiences.
